Cybersecurity Bootcamp FAQs

How long does this bootcamp take?

It takes time and effort to become a cybersecurity specialist. We've developed a curriculum that will teach you what you need to know in order to get hired. The length of each student's course will differ, as it is entirely self-paced. We anticipate that the vast majority of students will be finished in 6 months working approximately 15-20 hours per week.

How does the admissions process work?

We accept applicants on a rolling basis, but spots are limited. Our application process has multiple steps, and new cohorts of students start the bootcamp monthly.

1. An admissions director will call you for an interview

We’ll reach out for a fit interview if your application and profile meet admission standards. You’ll receive a phone call from either a local area code or a 415 area code. You must complete the fit interview to receive provisional acceptance.

2. Take the technical skills survey

We'll send you a pre-program survey through email to determine any knowledge gaps before the program begins in parallel with your fit interview. It takes about 1/2 hour to complete this survey, and you should plan to complete it within 24 hours.

3. Secure your seat

We are a selective program. If you're selected, we'll send you an e-mail registration link to complete within 24 hours. At this point, you’ll decide on your start date and payment method, you’ll complete your student profile, and you will then be officially enrolled and eligible to be matched with your industry mentor!

How do the tuition payments work?

We offer three payment options for our bootcamps:

Monthly Plan: You pay $2,083 per month, only for the months you're enrolled (most students complete within 6 months).

Upfront payment: You pay $11,120 upfront for 6 months. This is an 11% discount on the monthly plan.

Climb Credit loan*: Available by application to qualifying US citizens and permanent residents. If you are not a US citizen or permanent resident, you can still apply for financing with a fully qualifying co-borrower who is a citizen or permanent resident—as long as you both have a US address.

If approved, you pay a $500 deposit to confirm your seat and can finance the remainder through a loan. You’ll make small interest-only payments, $63 - $168, for the first 6 months. After that, you will pay 36 monthly payments ranging from $383 - $443.

Note: All charges will be in USD (based on the above prices).

If you live outside of the United States, this may incur an extra charge, depending on which bank you use. To give you an estimate of how much you may pay, we display prices in your local currency based on prevailing exchange rates, excluding transaction fees.

*Please note: Lending might not be available in all 50 states - view Climb's full state eligibility list.

What are my financing options, beyond upfront or month to month pricing?

You can finance your tuition with a loan from our partner Climb Credit. If you’re accepted to the bootcamp and approved by Climb Credit, you can start by paying as little as $63 - $168 per month.

How soon can I get hired in the cybersecurity industry?

The course's last module explores career components in detail. In this module, you'll learn how to design a successful job search method, develop your network, create a cybersecurity resume and LinkedIn profile, practice mock technical and behavioral interviews, debrief after real job interviews, and negotiate your compensation one-on-one with your career coach. We anticipate you will be able to get a cybersecurity position within six months after completing the bootcamp.
